About The Position

Requirements

• One year of inventory-management experience with a related degree; without a degree, an additional equivalent of 3–5 years of materials experience within manufacturing is required.
• Experience with materials flow, analysis, or coordination within manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems and WMS.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a similar field.
• Tier 1 JIT experience.
• Experience with QAD.

Responsibilities

• Support the Assistant Materials Manager in monitoring daily and weekly cycle-count progress and ensuring counts are completed by month-end.
• Partner with the Material Analyst and Material floor team to investigate inventory gains and losses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Audit cycle-count packets for completeness according to BOS standards.
• Monitor non-net and negative inventory conditions in QAD and coordinate timely resolution with appropriate teams.
• Work with the Material Analyst and Floor Team on inventory improvement projects, including RT and WMS implementation activities.
• Support the Assistant Materials Manager in developing and executing improved safety-stock and time strategies.
• Complete the monthly ABC inventory analysis using the ABC calculator and coordinate necessary classification and parameter updates.
• Maintain inventory data and KPIs, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement continuous-improvement projects related to data collection, including tracking progress and updating activities.
• Support annual profit-plan activities.
• Organize and manage physical inventories as required, in coordination with the Material Superintendent.
• Support inventory accuracy and target activities related to launches, balance-outs, and change control.
• Maintain the pre-production inventory cage and control inventory in and out.
• Work with the Materials team to ensure materials are on site before launches, engineering changes, and balance-outs; this may include supporting cycle-count and coverage-count activities.
• Confirm system parameters are set up for new parts and removed for old-level parts through parameter reviews and QAD monitoring.
• Validate obsolete inventory quantities and supporting documentation for customer obsolescence claims, as required.
