About The Position

Requirements

• Must possess or be eligible for an appropriate California public school classroom teaching credential. Applicants without a current, valid credential must attach a Plan to Complete form.
• Submit a current online Edjoin application, a Philosophy of Education Statement, three letters of recommendation dated within 18 months of application, and a current resume.
• Submit copies of valid California public school credentials, a CTC Certificate of Clearance, transcripts (unofficial copies accepted for application purposes), and MSAT, CSET, SSAT, PRAXIS, or other documentation of subject matter competence.
• Provide English Learner Authorization (CLAD or authorization embedded in the credential).
• Cell phone photographs of documents are not accepted.
• Applicants must be current employees of the school district; applications from people not currently employed by the district will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work toward District standards in the designated curricular areas adopted by the Governing Board for all pupils directly assigned to the teacher.
• Perform co-curricular and/or adjunct duties as assigned by the Governing Board, Superintendent, or other designated persons.
• Maintain appropriate disciplinary control of directly assigned pupils and help maintain proper control of all district pupils, enforcing applicable student conduct rules.
• Provide a suitable learning environment supporting students’ academic and social development, following district guidance and prioritizing student safety and welfare.
