About The Position

The English Language Arts Teacher at Marysville High School is responsible for achieving pupil learning objectives through a departmentalized instructional plan. Learning objectives are mutually determined in consultation with the building principal or designee, considering the common learning needs of the age-level group or class and the remedial and special-interest learning needs of individual pupils. Objectives include cognitive and affective categories (attitudes, interests, and values), as well as psychomotor skills where applicable.

Requirements

• Single Subject Teaching Credential in English.
• Crosscultural, Language and Academic Development Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Achieve learning objectives for pupils through a departmentalized plan of instruction.
• Consult with the building principal or designee to determine learning objectives based on the needs of the class and individual pupils.
• Address cognitive and affective learning objectives and, where applicable, psychomotor skills.
