About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong understanding of project costing, bid preparation, and estimating software/tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

• degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience as an Estimator in manufacturing, construction, industrial, or related industries preferred.
• experience with ERP or estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates based on project specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
• Review blueprints, technical documents, and project plans to determine labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to develop competitive and realistic project bids.
• Analyze project scope and identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and pricing strategies.
• Communicate directly with customers, vendors, and subcontractors to gather pricing and clarify project details.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and project documentation for future reference and reporting.
• Assist with proposal development, contract reviews, and project handoff to operations teams upon award.
• Monitor market trends, supplier pricing, and material costs to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process efficiencies and improving estimating procedures.
• Ensure all estimates align with company standards, profitability goals, and customer expectations.
