About The Position
The ER Technician delivers patient care in the Emergency Center under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. The role assists emergency room doctors and nurses with medical care, supports basic patient care, and helps keep the emergency room clean and organized. The position is modified full time, with a 12-hour night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., and includes benefits. The technician must be willing to cross-train as a Unit Secretary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited school.
- Certificate from an Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
- Previous experience working as an EMT-B or CNA.
- Experience starting IVs.
- Computer experience.
- EMT-B or CNA license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care in the Emergency Center under the supervision of an RN or physician.
- Assist emergency room doctors and nurses in delivering medical care.
- Assist with basic patient care.
- Help keep the emergency room clean and organized.
- Cross-train as a Unit Secretary.
