About The Position

The Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) assists professional nursing staff and physicians with the provision of emergency treatment to patients of all ages. The EMT documents care delivered accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Completion of an EMT course.
• Excellent human relations skills and oral and written communication skills.
• American Heart Association BLS Healthy Interventions certification required within three months of hire.
• State of Florida EMT license.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a hospital or nursing home setting preferred.
• Completion of a CNA course preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• EKG experience preferred.
