About The Position
Under the direction of the department supervisor, the Emergency Department Technician assists nursing personnel by performing clerical and related duties at the department level. Duties include performing EKGs, inserting straight catheters to obtain urine specimens, assisting professional nursing staff, transporting patients, and performing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Perform EKGs.
- Insert straight catheters to obtain urine specimens.
- Assist professional nursing staff.
- Assist with patient transportation.
- Perform clerical and other related department duties as assigned.
