About The Position
Join the Emergency Room A team at Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, New Jersey, as a Patient Care Technician. This is a variable-shift, PRN role. Patient Care Technicians work alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare environments. The role contributes to patient satisfaction and patient throughput. Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service acute-care community hospital with an emergency department, maternity center, women's imaging center, and ICU. Pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other components such as differentials and call pay, depending on the role.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in an acute-care hospital setting.
- Prior experience performing EKG and phlebotomy procedures.
- Obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Patient care or EKG and phlebotomy certificate.
- Cardiac Credentialing International Certification.
- Emergency Department experience.
