About The Position

The Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) assists professional nursing staff and physicians with providing emergency treatment to patients of all ages. The role documents care delivered accurately and promptly in the electronic health record. It is a patient care support role focused on assisting and comforting patients throughout their healthcare experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Completion of an EMT course.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Healthy Interventions required within three months of hire.
• State of Florida EMT license.
• Excellent human relations skills and oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a hospital or nursing home setting preferred.
• Completed CNA course preferred.
• Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.
