About The Position

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license in good standing (state of practice)
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 12-hour night ER environment
• Proficiency with the specified EMR system (Sorian) preferred

Nice To Haves

• TNCC and ENPC preferred
• Prior ER nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care: initial assessment, triage, stabilization, monitoring, and ongoing treatment for a variety of acute presentations.
• Administer medications, perform bedside procedures, interpret monitor data and EKGs, and respond to emergent events using current protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the broader care team to develop and adjust care plans; ensure smooth patient flow and safe handoffs.
• Document care in the EMR system (Sorian), including assessments, interventions, responses, and discharge instructions; maintain compliance with privacy and safety standards.
• Adhere to ACLS, PALS, and BLS protocols; TNCC and ENPC are preferred. Maintain awareness of infection control and patient safety best practices.
• Provide patient and family education, coordinate with ancillary services, and support timely discharges or transfers as appropriate.
