About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department/Emergency Room role at an acute care hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. The travel assignment is a 26-week contract with two openings and a start date of November 30, 2026. The position is scheduled for 36 hours per week on nights, with shifts running either 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Estimated travel pay is $2,340 per week. The local pay rate for local candidates is $51 per hour. VitalHire provides weekly direct deposit and a dedicated recruiter throughout the process, from submission through the last shift. The company also offers assistance with licensing, credentialing, and onboarding.
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered Iowa RN license or multistate (compact) RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current PALS certification.
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience; 2 or more years preferred.

- 2 or more years of recent Emergency Department experience.
