About The Position
Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer currently has a Engineering Intern opportunity available. This role reports into our GDI Adhesives Division located in Germantown, WI. This is a full-time summer internship opportunity (approximately 10-12 weeks). As an intern, you will take your studies and continue to build your skills. You will be provided an individualized work plan that will guide you throughout the program, allowing you to make an impact to the business. Throughout this opportunity, you will receive coaching from your manager and mentor. You will have an opportunity to learn about our company, while working alongside a team of experienced professionals in the field. You will have the chance to participate in a variety of activities and projects designed to give you exposure to our business.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited university or college required
- Major in a related field of study
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team and work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Completion of sophomore year and junior year standing preferred
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
Responsibilities
- Create standard operating procedures and work instructions for manufacturing.
- Work on continuous improvement projects in the manufacturing area.
- Create and facilitate corrective actions for manufacturing quality issues.
- Participate in the 5S program on the manufacturing floor.
