About The Position

CACI’s Rochester team is seeking a Systems Engineering Co-op/Intern in Rochester, New York, for Spring or Summer 2027. The organization designs and builds hardware and software to address customer requirements, with an emphasis on devices that can be fielded rapidly to meet mission needs. Size, weight, power, and packaging are central design considerations. The team works in specialized electronic and mechanical design, embedded and application-level software, reverse engineering and protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications systems.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an applicable security clearance.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Ability to learn new software tools.
• Experience in technical writing.
• Experience installing software on Windows and Linux machines.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred but not required.
• Previous internship, co-op, or other work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and procedures.
• Conduct tests and document results.
• Provide technical support for application notes.
• Conduct vehicle site surveys and develop associated vehicle integration designs for Mastodon equipment.
• Procure and validate third-party OEM products.
• Develop and write software installation procedures for laptops, including Mastodon and third-party software.
• Create and update laptop clones.
• Coordinate document reviews.
