About The Position

CACI's Rochester team is seeking Electrical Engineering Co-op/Interns for Spring and/or Summer 2027 to support the hardware development of complex digital and RF communications equipment. The internship provides hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals on real-world projects. Interns will contribute to the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and build a foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Strong understanding of fundamental electrical engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with CAD software for electrical design, such as DxDesigner or Altium.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with PCB design and layout.
• Knowledge of power, high-speed digital, and/or RF electronics design.
• Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE or Simulink.
• Internship or project experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components.
• Conduct research and analysis to support project goals.
• Perform simulations and modeling of electrical circuits and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs into overall project plans.
• Support the testing and validation of electrical prototypes.
• Document design processes, test results, and project progress.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for review by senior engineers.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in electrical engineering.
