About The Position

CACI is hiring a part-time Software Engineering co-op/intern to work primarily as an embedded software developer. The role involves adding software features to existing platforms, testing radio products, and writing test software for hardware validation. The co-op requires 100% on-site work at CACI’s Rochester, New York office and is expected to begin in Spring or Summer 2027.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Have knowledge of C/C++ or C# and Python.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship, co-op, or other work experience.
• Leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers or computing platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PSoC, or Kinetis.
• Working knowledge of embedded Linux and network-based message protocols such as ZMQ.
• A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred but not required.
