About The Position

As an intern at RTX, you will explore the world of aerospace and defense, learning from and collaborating with industry leaders. Our internships provide a foundation to work on complex problems, advance your skills, and contribute to a safer, more connected world. Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems, is seeking an intern to help shape the future of aerospace and defense. This role involves assisting in the structural assessments and evaluations of repairs for engine components, including criteria such as LCF, fracture, strength, creep, and vibration. You will also coordinate structural analysis requirements for repairs with module centers and Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT's). Our intern program aims to develop your understanding of the aerospace industry, our company, and its operations.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through completion of the internship session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
  • Experience using computer Finite Element Analysis software such as ANSYS or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities
