About The Position

The Applications Engineering Intern will support business priorities by delivering work that contributes to meaningful decisions, quality, and improved business results. The role involves studying and evaluating methodologies with GPG business functions, including Applications, Algorithm, and Software teams. The intern will work with team members to understand current methods, collaborate cross-functionally to study alternatives, conduct proof-of-concept work using existing data, and determine correlations across data sets and system configurations.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in Physics, Mathematics, Material Science, or Engineering.
Creative thinking and good problem-solving abilities.
Experience working with large data sets.
Excellent proficiency in data analysis techniques using Excel or plotting software such as JMP or Origin Pro.
Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Motivation to learn new skills independently.
Requires less than 1 year of related experience.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of semiconductor processes, relevant coursework, or previous internships in the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities
