About The Position
The Electroencephalography (EEG) Tech works under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director to provide EEG services to properly identified patients of all ages. The role includes preparing patients, conducting neurodiagnostic procedures, and collecting data relevant to test interpretation. The technician performs routine and complex neurodiagnostic testing as ordered by physicians, adapting methods and instrumentation to obtain optimal results. The position also requires demonstrating Service Excellence and performing other assigned duties. This is a per diem opportunity at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida. Overtime and various shifts are available to cover. Wellington Regional is a 235-bed acute care hospital owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program for EEG technologists or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in EEG.
- Able to work independently and with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide EEG services to properly identified patients of all ages under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director.
- Prepare patients for neurodiagnostic procedures.
