Creative Editor & Story Producer (AI-Native)

Scaling.com
$80,000 - $100,000Remote

About The Position

Scaling.com is seeking a highly creative individual to produce world-class long-form content, from 6-minute deep dives to 40-minute case studies. This role requires a unique blend of story development and technical execution, focusing on creating documentary-style case studies and podcast interviews for entrepreneurs aiming to scale their businesses. The content aims to be as engaging as popular platforms like Vox, TED Education, and Diary of a CEO, featuring real entrepreneurs, real numbers, and real stories, avoiding fluff and generic motivational content. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire content creation process, from identifying the narrative spine and editorial direction to executing the final product with high visual and emotional impact, including motion graphics, graphic design, and photography. This role is positioned as the creative and editorial mind behind the viewer's experience, working with AI tools as extensions of their creative process.

Requirements

  • Obsessed with visual storytelling, with a deep understanding of editing, sound design, and graphic composition.
  • Strong story thinker with the ability to understand the business goal of each piece and structure content to achieve it.
  • Fluent across multiple creative disciplines including video editing, motion graphics, graphic design, photography, animation, color grading, and sound design.
  • Proficient enough in these disciplines to produce finished work and knowledgeable enough to know when to use AI versus manual execution.
  • Experience using AI tools for content creation (e.g., Higgsfield, Runway, Midjourney, ElevenLabs).
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro as the primary editing software.
  • Highly self-directed, capable of taking a story and general direction and producing innovative and superior results.
  • Ability to move 3-5x faster than a traditional post-production team by integrating AI into the workflow.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to look at existing content and provide specific, actionable insights for improvement.
  • Experience with AI tools like MotionVid AI, Claude, and Shade Drive.
  • Convincing the team to adopt new and effective AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Produce world-class long-form content from start to finish, including 6-minute deep dives and 40-minute case studies.
  • Review interviews, identify narrative spines, and map out the structure and flow of content pieces.
  • Determine what content to cut, what to elevate, and what visual language best serves the story's goal of helping entrepreneurs 10x their companies.
  • Execute stories at the highest level, designing graphics, building motion sequences, and incorporating photography and visual treatments.
  • Manage pacing, color grading, sound design, and all other post-production details.
  • Create visual assets such as match cuts, data visualizations, framework graphics, and textured motion assets with artistic intent.
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., Higgsfield, Runway, Midjourney, ElevenLabs) to enhance and expedite the creative process.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Producer, acting as the creative and editorial lead for all visual elements.

Benefits

  • Paid Time Off – Includes vacation days, sick leave, and company holidays
  • Remote Work Flexibility – Work from the location of your choice (U.S.-based) with the structure, autonomy, and support to thrive
