Enterprise - Senior RF Software Engineer - DSP, Linux, C++

About The Position

Erias Ventures is seeking a Senior RF Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems. This role involves working on processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large datasets, real-time systems, and business management information systems based on documented requirements. The engineer will work individually or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components, resolving software problem reports, and utilizing appropriate software development methodologies. Responsibilities include analyzing user requirements, debugging existing software, recommending process improvements, designing and coding new software or modifying existing software, integrating software components, developing data queries, writing documentation, and potentially leading software development teams. The role also involves conferring with system and hardware engineers to derive requirements and coordinate installations.

Requirements

  • Current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • May substitute four years' experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • May substitute two years' experience with MS in Engineering or CS.
  • Twelve (12) years' experience as a DSP Algorithm developer.
  • Twelve (12) years' experience with C++, Linux, Python, or similar development language.
  • C++ work must be in the last 10 years.

Nice To Haves

  • Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant cert (i.e., Security+).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems.
  • Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
  • Resolve software problem reports.
  • Utilize software development and software design methodologies.
  • Provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, COTS/GOTS utilization, and requirements analysis.
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Debug existing software and correct defects.
  • Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
  • Write or review software and system documentation.
  • Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process.
  • Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
  • Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and investigating problem areas.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance.
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
  • Design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints.
  • Perform quality control on team products.
  • Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
  • Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure work completion.
  • Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and obtain information on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
  • Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning.
