About The Position

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level software engineer to assist with daily responsibilities in support of the mission to protect the country. The engineer will develop and innovate software solutions for government customers, focusing on digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms and software for exploiting signals. This position is open to direct hires only; candidates from third-party staffing or recruiting firms will not be considered.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Four years of experience as a DSP algorithm developer on projects using similar software processes.
• Four years of experience with C++, Linux, Python, or a similar development language. Two years of experience may be substituted with a Master of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.
• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline in DSP algorithms from an accredited college or university is required. Four additional years of DSP experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
• Skills in C++, Linux, Python, and DSP algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement DSP algorithms in software, focusing on high-throughput exploitation of signals, low signal-to-noise ratio, higher-order and/or adaptive modulations.
• Modify existing software and/or firmware to adapt commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) products to meet special government needs.
• Provide concise explanations of developed models so team members can understand and use the models or algorithms to process signals of interest.
