About The Position

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing technology systems utilized within the organization, focusing on implementation, maintenance, configuration, access control, troubleshooting and user training. This individual will work to ensure reliable operation and 24/7 availability of technology within the organization.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in managing and supporting technology systems within a business or hospital environment.
  • Strong verbal, written communication skills and customer service skills including listening and interpreting user requests.
  • Ability to explain technical matters to non-technical people.
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail with demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Able to work in a collaborative fashion and be a team player but also self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to handle confidential, sensitive information with a high degree of honesty and integrity.
  • Extensive experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of administrative tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewall management.
  • Hands-on experience with VOIP phone systems, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in CompTIA A+, Network +, Security +, Microsoft, or equivalent preferred.
  • MCSE, CCNA, VCP certification preferred
  • Some working knowledge or experience with the following is preferred; hospital financial and patient accounting, reporting and document management systems (such as EPIC, Cerner Millennium, Cerner Soarian), Altera Sunrise Solutions (EHR), Premier ERP, Human resource/payroll/time applications (such as Kronos, Workday or ADP).
  • Additional experience with providing access to these applications helpful: Crystal Reports or other reporting design tool.
  • Phreesia Access eForms or other similar forms designer.
  • MM Hayes QuickCharge or other POS/Account charging application.
  • Solventum/3M Coding solutions.
  • Some working knowledge and experience of database systems (SQL scripts, data extracts).
  • EHR scanning support (TS Scan, etc.)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in system administration, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
