About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental practice.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to work well under pressure, with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Zero to two years of dental office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Sterilize and deliver instruments to treatment areas; position instruments for the dentist’s access; suction; and pass instruments.
• Maintain patient confidence and protect clinic operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Keep dental equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, and arranging repairs when necessary.
• Maintain dental supplies inventory, place supply orders, and verify receipt of supplies.
• Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
• Contribute to the team effort.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
