About The Position

Arrow Dental, LLC is seeking a Sterilization Technician for its dental clinic. The position assists with managing the dental office infection-control plan to meet OSHA and CDC standards. Duties include cleaning, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, recirculating instruments, and disinfecting dental treatment rooms. The clinic serves primarily Medicaid patients. Clinic hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental practice.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to work well under pressure, with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.

Nice To Haves

Zero to two years of dental office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Sterilize and deliver instruments to treatment areas; position instruments for the dentist’s access; suction; and pass instruments.
Maintain patient confidence and protect clinic operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
Keep dental equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, and arranging repairs when necessary.
Maintain dental supplies inventory, place supply orders, and verify receipt of supplies.
Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
Contribute to the team effort.
Perform other duties as assigned.
