About The Position

Mortenson Family Dental is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sterilization Technician to support patient care in a respectful, friendly, and supportive dental practice. The role focuses on decontaminating and sterilizing instruments, supplies, and equipment; maintaining sterilization equipment and processing areas; and keeping thorough maintenance and testing records. The position is full-time, with 32 weekly hours, and offers pay up to $20 per hour based on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Tetanus vaccination.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• Sterilization or dental assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies, and equipment.
• Assemble, wrap, and sterilize trays of instruments.
• Follow sterilization precautions while decontaminating.
• Monitor biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure quality and consistency in decontaminating instruments and medical equipment.
• Perform environmental maintenance duties and maintain thorough logs.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing and equipment storage areas.
• Verify equipment functions properly; requisition equipment maintenance, repair, or replacement; and remove defective equipment when needed.
• Perform weekly spore testing and maintain a log of the results.
• Perform weekly and monthly maintenance of Autoclave and Statim.
