About The Position

The Sterilization Technician keeps dental instruments clean, sanitized, organized, and ready for use. The position is part of Jordan Valley Health, a mission-driven organization providing comprehensive healthcare services to underserved communities.

Employees must provide proof of vaccination for Flu, Hepatitis B, and Tuberculosis (TB). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Requirements

• Experience in a healthcare setting; education may substitute for lack of experience.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CRCST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA standards.
• Sterilize instruments as soon as feasible after they are brought into central sterilization.
• Maintain clean and orderly sterilization areas.
• Keep accurate logs of spore testing.
• Use the system in place to monitor and track instruments through sterilization.
• Keep the dental director informed of issues or concerns involving sterilization equipment, supplies, or procedures.
• Respond to providers’ special requests or needs regarding instruments and handpieces.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
