About The Position
Provide and maintain preventative oral health services including oral screening/assessment, oral health education, radiographs, intraoral photos, prophylaxis, dental sealants, topical application of fluoride medicaments including Silver Diamine Fluoride, as well as patient management, documentation and referrals. This is a part-time position requiring 27 hours a week, working 3 days a week from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Requirements
- AS Degree in Dental Hygiene
- Licensed Dental Hygienist
- Public Health Dental Hygienist Designation
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
- Valid IL driver's License
- High School Diploma
Responsibilities
- Assist with other job duties as assigned by supervisor, director or dentist, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, room turnover, sterilization, community events, promoting program, office tasks and assist with patient resources, referrals, transportation, etc.
- Provide overall oral screening/assessment, oral health education, radiographs, intraoral photos, prophylaxis, placement of dental sealants, application of topical fluoride medicaments including Silver Diamine Fluoride, appropriately manage patient care, referral plans and efficiently documents services rendered.
