About The Position
Our Pharmacy Delivery Drivers play a meaningful role in the lives of our customers by bringing their prescriptions directly to them, safely and on time. In this role, you'll represent Hy-Vee in customers' homes and communities, delivering care with professionalism and a friendly attitude. If you are dependable, customer-focused, and take pride in doing things right on the road and at the door, we'd love to have you on our team.
Requirements
- Commitment to the Hy-Vee mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Ability to identify problems and develop and execute solutions independently
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing
- Ability to maintain a high level of discretion when handling confidential patient information
- Valid driver's license with no DOT restrictions required
- Must be 18 years or older to drive a company vehicle
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every interaction a positive one
- Deliver pharmacy customers' prescriptions to specified locations in a timely and professional manner
- Enter and exit the delivery vehicle multiple times per shift, navigate staircases and varying terrain to reach delivery destinations
- Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle inside and out
- Facilitate the maintenance and upkeep of delivery vehicles and report any issues promptly
- Maintain the confidentiality of customers' private medical information in accordance with HIPAA
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned
- Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines
- Report to work when scheduled and on time
