About The Position

MedSpeed is a healthcare logistics company that partners with organizations nationwide to transport medical supplies and specimens. The Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver safely transports lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials in a company-owned vehicle. Drivers use a handheld scanning device to track items, follow operating policies and service schedules, load and unload vehicles, and maintain a professional image when interacting with clients and the public. The role also includes vehicle inspections and upkeep, and requires flexibility to perform duties across assigned routes as client and business needs change. The position is part-time in Marlton, New Jersey, with a set schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Compensation is $16.00 per hour. COVID-19 vaccination is required, subject to location and local mandates.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Be at least 19 years old and hold an active driver's license for at least three years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with and ability to adapt to technology.
• Ability to closely follow procedures.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screenings.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, depending on location and local mandates.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to handle varying item weights and physical demands, including lifting items off storage racks.
• Comfort with walking long distances and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
• Use a handheld scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
• Follow operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload company vehicles using appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean, neat, and orderly.
• Perform duties across assigned routes and adapt to route changes based on client and business needs.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Help build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
