About The Position

Green Thumb is seeking a part-time Delivery Driver to safely transport cannabis products to customers, maintain delivery schedules, and provide exceptional customer service. The role involves loading a delivery van, following state laws and regulations for medical cannabis deliveries, maintaining delivery documentation, and communicating promptly about delivery issues. Drivers also maintain professional relationships with dispensary staff and may perform other duties assigned by management.

The position requires the ability to meet scheduling and availability needs, including varying shifts and weekends. Work may involve days of up to 12 hours, customer-facing interactions, outdoor work in varying and sometimes adverse weather, and exposure to cannabis or related allergens. The role also includes physical and administrative tasks such as moving inventory, preparing orders, using a point-of-sale system and office software, and completing routine vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

• At least one year of professional driving experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass required background checks, including a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and state-specific cannabis employment requirements.
• Must remain compliant with applicable legal and company regulations for working in the industry.
• Must meet scheduling and availability requirements, including varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance.
• Must be able to perform the listed physical and work tasks for prolonged periods, potentially up to the duration of a workday.
• Must be able to move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds independently.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service, initiative, a proactive attitude, and independent judgment.
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
• Must listen well and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with varied audiences.
• Must be able to follow instructions and incorporate constructive criticism from managers.
• Must operate with professionalism and integrity, handle confidential information, and comply with HIPAA requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Prior cannabis experience is not required.
• Previous experience with point-of-sale systems.
• Working knowledge of applicable cannabis laws and regulations, safety regulations, local municipal codes, organizational rules, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load the delivery van at the beginning of the day for deliveries throughout the day.
• Interpret and follow state laws and regulations applicable to medical cannabis deliveries.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as changing tires and checking or adding fluids.
• Manage medical cannabis delivery documents, retain required paperwork, and return completed manifests for filing.
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with dispensary staff.
• Communicate promptly and effectively when delivery issues arise.
• Prepare patient and customer orders by moving and placing products.
• Move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds independently.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
