About The Position

Parts Authority is seeking a part-time Delivery Driver to pick up and deliver automotive parts while following assigned routes and schedules. The driver is expected to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately, provide friendly and professional customer service, and work safely as part of the delivery team. The role also supports other store and warehouse duties as assigned. The minimum listed pay is $15.15 per hour.

Requirements

• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Must meet company insurance requirements; drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must be able to lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to tolerate prolonged sitting.
• Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
• Ability to use a tablet or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface or signature capture.
• Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills, including communicating effectively and professionally with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team.

• Previous delivery driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to verify completeness and correct charges, and confirm customer satisfaction.
• Follow dispatcher directions, assigned routes, and time schedules; use navigation applications and alternative routes when needed.
• Assist with loading and unloading items at customer locations without disrupting their operations.
• Answer customer questions and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
• Follow transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments and prepare reports, including invoices and return forms; reconcile debts, credits, and money collected for deliveries.
• Complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle when applicable and notify a manager of issues.
• Assist with other store and warehouse duties, such as stocking and parts pulling, as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets.
