About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, third party payors.
• Successful work experience in a front office setting or in another clerical position.
• Strong working knowledge of office procedures and basic accounting principles.
• Ability to effectively use and maintain office equipment.
• Great organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.
• Float positions require a Valid Driver's License.
• If float, valid Driver's License required. This requires a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Background Check to be completed during the onboarding new hire process and throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of related experience working in a medical clinic or office, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient assistance and care in the office/clinic settings.
• Assists in development and orientation of new office / clinic staff.
• Assists in coordinating activities of the office /clinic.
• Assists with covering work schedules and assists to improve work flow.
• Keeps the providers informed of both progress and potential problems.
• Provides patient care in the office setting.
• Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care.
• Meets the communication needs of patient and family.
• Provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse and/or physician and clinic manager.
• Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards.
• Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
