About The Position

Knob Hill Golf Club, located in Englishtown, NJ, is seeking a driven Line Cook who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Knob Hill Golf Club caters to a diverse membership and hosts all types of banquet events, including weddings, golf outings, member events, bar mitzvahs, showers, and meetings. The club also features a full bar in its restaurant, The Sycamore Grille, and is open to the public year-round. The Grill Cook would work the line for the restaurant and, when needed, will assist with prep for banquets and events.

  • Ability to learn and maintain standards in food production and quality.
  • Ability to expedite orders in a timely manner.
  • Ability to practice excellent operational sanitation.
  • Ability to execute scheduled banquet functions.
  • Ability to maintain a professional relationship with fellow associates.
  • Ability to help reduce loss/waste.
  • Ability to communicate equipment repair needs with chef.
  • Ability to actively participate in training efforts.
  • Ability to incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
  • Ability to attend staff meetings.
  • Ability to check and date all deliveries received and report any variances to chef in charge.
  • Ability to verify that all coolers are at the proper temperatures and are cleaned on a daily basis.
  • Ability to process inventory requisition and receive supplies as necessary for quality production.
  • Ability to prepare the proper amount of food according to production or forecast sheets and production plans.
  • Ability to prepare items in accordance with established recipes for a consistent product.
