About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic math and typing skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as required.
• At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
• Working knowledge of production machinery and/or processes.
• Good learning agility.
• Organization, time-management, prioritization, and multitasking skills, with the ability to complete quality checks on time.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve routine problems and equipment or process issues using established standards.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to interact effectively across multiple teams.
• Ability to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to work alertly and safely; stand for eight hours a day or more; lift, carry, push, or pull up to and including 50 pounds or more; reach overhead up to and including 25 pounds; work at heights; grip, grasp, and twist using wrists, hands, and fingers; bend and stoop for short periods; work below knee level and above shoulder level for short periods; and meet the stated vision requirements.
• Physically capable of working extended hours if needed, in a wet environment, standing for long periods, and operating processing equipment.
• Able to wear and work in personal protective equipment in the manufacturing environment.

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in process control.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products, processes, and areas comply with quality specifications.
• Inspect items and equipment for defects, inconsistencies, cleanliness, packaging errors, and other issues.
• Follow and help ensure compliance with USDA, GMP, safety, and food-safety procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Monitor quality indicators and work with the quality assurance team to monitor, maintain, and document processes for compliance with product specifications and standards; this may include chemical testing, shipment and trailer monitoring.
• Work across multiple teams to maintain process continuity and support timely product delivery.
• Identify and resolve process issues, including machinery breakdowns, material shortages, and process inefficiencies.
• Maintain daily records of activities, performance metrics, and issues.
• Track, collect, and document process data as needed, including microbial findings and lab scores, and provide reports highlighting opportunities.
• Assist with the Pre-Op process.
• Initiate and assist with foreign material investigations.
• Provide input on process improvements.
• Train or retrain hourly team members, Process Controllers, and QA Technicians as needed, including when new processes are developed.
• Cross-train in other areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
