About The Position

Requirements

• Associate degree required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse group in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A combination of day, evening, and weekend hours is required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of SCT Banner, Title IV, and New York State financial aid programs.

Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students and their parents regarding financial aid.
• Advise current students about their financial aid packages and direct them to appropriate departments when they need assistance.
• Assist incoming students with completing the FAFSA, Stafford loan applications, and other financial aid documentation.
• Review financial aid packages with students.
• Verify the accuracy of students’ ISIRs.
• Package financial aid awards accurately in the SCT Banner system.
• Track and monitor student awards to ensure funds are received accurately and on time.
• Follow up with students regarding missing or inaccurate information.
• Adhere to all federal and state financial aid guidelines.
• Prepare and distribute weekly reports on the status of students’ application processes.
