About The Position

This position supports the clinical informatics program by ensuring the effective use of the electronic health record and related clinical information systems. Provides expertise in clinical workflows, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance system functionality, and promotes safe, efficient, and compliant documentation practices. Contributes to organizational training and change-management efforts through development of training materials, delivery of end-user support, and reinforcement of standardized workflows. Monitors and triages system issues, supports downtime preparedness activities, and participates in governance structures to operationalize workflow improvements.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
  • Two years of clinical experience in the area of specialization.

  • Working knowledge of clinical informatics, clinical workflows, EHR functionality, documentation standards, and relevant privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in EHR use, workflow assessment, end-user training, and issue identification.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and basic project-coordination skills.
  • Ability to support optimization efforts, coach users, troubleshoot issues, and reinforce standardized documentation practices.
  • Ability to develop training materials.
  • Ability to lead training sessions and clinical informatics rounds.
