About The Position

The Clinical Educator is responsible for developing, planning, implementing and organizing a variety of education activities including individual, department and hospital wide programs. This role involves coordinating onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education for staff, as well as developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to support employee development and organizational goals. The Clinical Educator partners with leadership to identify learning needs and implement education, quality, and patient safety initiatives. They monitor, analyze, and share performance data to support continuous improvement efforts, lead education-related projects, committees, and team development activities, and provide education, coaching, and subject matter expertise to staff and leaders. Maintaining current clinical knowledge and supporting changes in nursing practice and regulatory requirements is also key, as is utilizing learning management and data systems to support education programs and reporting. Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and applicable federal, state, accreditation, and licensing requirements is essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider Instructor within 3 years of accepting or transferring into the position.
  • BLS
  • Minimum Work Experience 3-5 years of recent clinical experience with ongoing ability to demonstrate mastery of relevant clinical skills.
  • Sufficient previous experience in adult education

  • Preferred Master's Degree.
