District Manager -Southwest

MejuriLos Angeles, CA
$123,000 - $144,000Onsite

About The Position

Since 2015, Mejuri has reimagined what fine jewelry can be in a modern world, shifting it from a traditional gift to a personal choice rooted in self-expression. Founded by third-generation jeweller Noura Sakkijha, the brand was built on the idea that fine jewelry shouldn’t require a special occasion or come with guilt, but rather celebrate oneself. Mejuri engages customers online, in-app, and through a global retail footprint of over 58 stores. The company is committed to responsible sourcing, sustainable practices, and philanthropic initiatives. As a District Manager for the Southwest region, you will act as the Business Owner of your market, focusing on systemic operations, performance, talent capability, and brand integrity across a fleet of stores. This role requires a blend of commercial rigor and operational excellence, diagnosing problems at their root to uphold the “Fine Standard.” You will be a coach to Store Managers, a P&L expert, and a proactive partner to HQ, utilizing all brand levers to ensure your district excels. Your home office will be Los Angeles, and your district will encompass the Southwest region and Australia.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of multi-unit leadership experience with a proven track record of closing store-to-store performance gaps and turning around underperformers.
  • A deep understanding of P&L management with a track record of driving top-line growth while maintaining operational discipline, translating data into actionable strategies without being prompted.
  • A strong history of promoting Store Managers and building internal pipelines, measuring success by the growth and independence of your leaders.
  • Ability to diagnose complex business challenges (from inventory imbalances to shifting consumer trends) and implement effective solutions, thriving in ambiguous situations.
  • Understanding of the modern customer journey and experience leveraging digital tools and clienteling strategies to drive conversion beyond the physical store.
  • Hungry, proactive, and able to move before being asked, energized by ambiguity and enjoying building operating rhythms in real-time.
  • A compelling storyteller who can synthesize field insights for executive-level partners and inspire store teams with a clear, unified vision.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose gaps across the fleet and implement systemic solutions that hold the standard after you walk out the door.
  • Narrow the performance variance between your best and worst-performing stores, ensuring consistent results.
  • Maintain a non-negotiable policy for brand standards, STACK execution, and store environment across all doors, with an "editorial eye" to quickly diagnose issues from a customer perspective.
  • Run your district like a CEO runs a business, understanding NMV, traffic, CVR, and payroll, and making proactive decisions.
  • Bring hypotheses and data-driven insights when reporting problems, providing the "why" and specific cross-functional asks.
  • Treat every HQ function (Marketing, Merchandising, People Ops) as a tool, proactively initiating local activations, adjusting assortments, and mitigating staffing risks.
  • Focus on building the Store Manager’s capability to lead, coach, and drive performance independently.
  • Proactively develop a 3, 6, and 12-month pipeline of talent, identifying future Store Managers by name.
  • Empower Store Managers to own their individual P&Ls, fostering a culture of high ownership and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Champion a seamless digital-physical experience, coaching teams to leverage clienteling and waitlist tools to bridge inventory gaps and build long-term loyalty.
  • Identify and execute localized marketing and eventing opportunities to drive brand awareness and new customer acquisition within specific markets.

Benefits

  • A minimum of four weeks vacation, plus personal days and three religious/cultural observance days.
  • Comprehensive medical and dental benefits, including mental health coverage, and generous personal and sick days for our full-time employees.
  • Bereavement leave, including miscarriage and stillbirth support.
  • Parental leave salary top-up of up to 80%, as well as a personalized return-to-work transition and accommodation plan for full-time employees.
  • A generous product discount!
