About The Position
The University of Alabama School of Law seeks qualified applicants for the position of Clinical Assistant / Associate Professor of Law and Director of the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Clinic. The successful candidate will oversee and/or conduct all phases of legal services for Entrepreneurship Clinic clients, teach and supervise law clinic students, and manage other law clinic staff. This is a year-round (12-month) position with eligibility for security of position. Salary, benefits, and research support will be nationally competitive. All applications are confidential to the extent permitted by state and federal law. This position will remain open until filled.
Requirements
- Outstanding academic credentials
- A J.D. from an accredited law school or an equivalent degree (such as a Ph.D. in a related field)
- Member of the Alabama Bar or will apply for and become a member of the Alabama Bar within a reasonable time of beginning the position
Nice To Haves
- Experience in clinical legal education
- Ability to write and publish legal scholarship
- Experience in entrepreneurship and small business practice
Responsibilities
- Oversee and/or conduct all phases of legal services for Entrepreneurship Clinic clients
