About The Position

This position has a critical role in assisting with the coordination of clinical and non-clinical duties to facilitate the delivery of patient care. This position is responsible for the coordination of communication and information for the Birth Center. As the first point of contact, it is imperative that the person in this role consistently demonstrates genuine, professional interactions through words, actions and body language with patients, visitors, and staff using the principles of a warm welcome. These principles include making eye contact, smiling, and providing a warm greeting. In addition, this position will assist RNs with the direct care of patients by performing the assigned nursing function needed to maintain patient’s cleanliness, nutrition, comfort and safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
  • One year of administrative work experience.
  • Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
  • Current BLS Certification required at time of hire/start date (must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree.
  • Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) / CNA experience or medical clerical training.
  • Experience working in women’s health, obstetrics, postpartum, or newborn care.
  • Demonstrated ability to use an electronic medical record (Epic preferred) for admissions, discharges, documentation, and care team coordination.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
