About The Position

This student worker supports a faculty-led, grant-funded short film that combines traditional post-production with generative AI tools. The position is 5–8 hours per week and reports to the project's faculty lead.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro for both video and audio editing.
  • Proficient in DaVinci Resolve for editing and color correction.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Completed at least junior-level coursework in media, film, or video production, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Available for a weekly project meeting for the duration of the position.
  • Interested in learning generative AI tools for video, audio, and still image creation, and willing to experiment with new workflows.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to work independently between meetings.
  • Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University.
  • Experience with audio & video editing in Davinci resolve and expressed interest in AI tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with any AI image, video, or audio generation tool.
  • Familiarity with audio cleanup and mixing.
  • Ability to take direction from written briefs and visual references.

Responsibilities

  • Edit and assemble picture and sound in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Color correct and finish sequences in DaVinci Resolve.
  • Prepare, clean up, and composite still images in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Generate and refine AI-created video, audio, and still images using tools selected by the project lead, following written prompts and visual references.
  • Organize and back up media, project files, and generated assets according to the project's file structure.
  • Track versions and log which prompts, settings, and tools produced each asset.
  • Attend one scheduled project meeting each week and come prepared with progress and questions.
