As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving role requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a government utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors in accordance with site policies.
  • Document observations, incidents, patrol activity, and unusual conditions in required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
