Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol Operations
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed Security Officer for patrol operations at a healthcare location in Memphis, Tennessee. The officer will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to incidents and emergencies. The role also involves providing customer service and communicating clearly with staff and visitors to support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach. The position pays $26.00 per hour. Scheduled shifts are Monday through Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- An armed guard card or license.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations while following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry according to site procedures, remaining aware of visitors, deliveries, and personnel.
- Complete accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
