About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and PC skills.
• 2–4 years of related experience, including store planning and inventory management or buying office experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with E3, Manhattan, or other replenishment software is a strong plus.
• Softline experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement allocation strategies across designated retail businesses.
• Analyze and formulate store inventory placement by monitoring category sales, physical inventory, trends, and seasonal changes.
• Evaluate store sales and inventory levels to identify opportunities and communicate them to buying, planning, store operations, and field management teams.
• Provide merchants and planners with inventory insights to support seasonal product strategies, including guidance on selling patterns, future purchase timing, and purchasing philosophies.
• Use replenishment systems, allocation systems, Access, and Data Warehouse applications; evaluate system capabilities to improve allocation tools and effectiveness.
• Analyze inventory risks and opportunities and develop and implement allocation strategies to maximize category profit potential.
• Streamline merchandise flow through analysis and guidance.
• Determine and standardize allocation best practices.
• Manage assortments for new store openings.
• Analyze store inventory issues and recommend stock balancing.
