About The Position
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for general accounting activities, including maintenance of accounting systems, and upholding standards and supporting delivery of key financial management reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with at least 5 years’ experience managing degreed accountants.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills with a thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
- Proactive Take-charge personality, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail with a Business First focus.
- Expert Level of proficiency with Excel.
- Proficient with Word and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Fully support Controller.
- Preparation of Financial Statements and provide meaningful analysis for sales and operations management.
- Manage general ledger coding and mapping.
- Oversee and manage Treasury Management including Payment Approvals, Banking and Credit Card systems.
- Support Tax department, and coordinate to ensure accounting policy aligns with tax goals.
- Manage annual Avflight Budget process.
- Audit internal accounts to ensure compliance with internal standards
- Manage external financial audits including annual domestic and international as well as local Payroll or Tax, City or State audits.
- Support Tax Department supplying financial data for domestic Tax Returns and Canadian Corporate Tax preparation
