Requirements

  • Full fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior or lead role.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP
  • High accuracy in complex financial data.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work well in a small team environment.
  • Quick learner and big picture thinker
  • Customer first attitude when dealing with business partners
  • Focuses on process improvement

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Experience using AI and API’s to improve processes a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full-cycle accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries and perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Act as the liaison with Spanish-speaking internal teams to clarify accounting issues and financial data.
  • Oversee high-volume AP/AR, ensure accurate vendor payments, and manage invoicing.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and assist with tax filing (1099s, CA tax regulations).
  • Perform variance analysis, prepare financial statements, and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and maintain internal control procedures.
  • Mentor or review the work of junior accounting staff
