Requirements
- Full fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior or lead role.
- Advanced MS Excel skills required (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Deep knowledge of GAAP
- High accuracy in complex financial data.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to work well in a small team environment.
- Quick learner and big picture thinker
- Customer first attitude when dealing with business partners
- Focuses on process improvement
Nice To Haves
- CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
- Experience using AI and API’s to improve processes a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and review complex journal entries and perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Act as the liaison with Spanish-speaking internal teams to clarify accounting issues and financial data.
- Oversee high-volume AP/AR, ensure accurate vendor payments, and manage invoicing.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and assist with tax filing (1099s, CA tax regulations).
- Perform variance analysis, prepare financial statements, and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership.
- Coordinate with external auditors and maintain internal control procedures.
- Mentor or review the work of junior accounting staff
