•$148,200 - $264,000•Hybrid

About The Position

The Senior Forward Deployed Engineer bridges hands-on software development with customer technical strategy. The role partners with enterprise customers to architect, deploy, debug, and optimize Workday AI agents and developer platform solutions in live customer environments. Working across the deployment lifecycle, the engineer collaborates with AI Deployment Architects, Product Managers, and Workday Services leads. The position aims to drive immediate customer success and reduce implementation friction over time by incorporating field-tested solutions into the core platform. Engagements follow structured milestones from kickoff to graduation, within standard six-month deployment cycles, and help customers take ownership of their solutions. The role is based within Workday’s Forward Deployed Engineering organization, which works across Product, Engineering, and customer execution. It deploys into active customer engagements to resolve technical friction, debug complex setups, build lightweight integrations, and channel field insights into scalable product capabilities. The position requires willingness and ability to travel up to 20% to customer sites. Workday’s flexible-work approach calls for spending at least half of each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, and partners, depending on the role.
