About The Position

ENSCO is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to work directly with Government mission leaders and independently governed program teams delivering elements of a critical space mission capability. The role builds trusted relationships and shared technical evidence to integrate efforts that may have different architecture visions, acquisition paths, technical baselines, funding profiles, and delivery schedules. The position supports the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort, providing systems engineering and integration support for the Space Force’s Space Systems Command and its acquisition of military satellite communications systems. These systems provide global secure, survivable, and protected communications for the nation’s warfighters. The engineer will work in a collaborative, small-team environment using modern tools and methodologies to integrate complex space and ground communications systems. The work is performed on-site in a secure facility due to customer security requirements. An active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • At least 8 years of engineering work experience, including at least 5 years in systems engineering involving areas such as requirements management and technical baseline development; test planning, integration, and execution; verification; and validation.
  • Experience developing or managing requirements documents or specifications, or Interface Control Documents (ICDs), for complex systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to work on-site in a secure facility due to customer security requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with or on MILSATCOM programs such as AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, or FAB-T terminal programs.
  • Experience working with military personnel and DoD civilians.
  • Experience with ground and space systems, such as terminals and networks.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile development and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or INCOSE CSEP, ESEP, or ASEP.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement integration strategies and processes for satellite communications systems and their ground, space, crypto, and terminal segments, subsystems, elements, and components; manage technical baselines among stakeholders.
  • Analyze system requirements that define the technical baseline and verify the technical baseline.
  • Apply digital engineering methods and modeling strategies, including digital twins, to support integration and test activities.
  • Work with Government and contractor personnel to close gaps with customer requirements and support major requirements reviews, design reviews, and related meetings.
  • Lead and support Government/Contractor Working Group meetings by developing briefings, leading discussions, and recording minutes to address or resolve risks, issues, and action items.
  • Review proposed technical baseline changes for impacts to enterprise capabilities and cross-stakeholder integration concerns.
  • Define and deliver alternative solutions to integration challenges, managing schedule impacts and product delivery.
  • Facilitate reviews of contractor-developed program documents through technical assessments, written comments, compilation of review-team comments, and work with contractors to adjudicate comments.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on technical issues; prepare briefings and courses of action for U.S. Space Force program office personnel and other stakeholders to support Government decisions.
  • Support management of risks, issues, and interdependencies; identify schedule disconnects and conflicts, develop action plans, and assist the Government in executing selected solutions.
