Entry Level Model-Based Systems Engineer

About The Position

KODA Technologies is seeking a motivated entry-level Systems Engineer to join its digital engineering team as a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE). The role supports Army systems by developing comprehensive models that improve product understanding and efficiency and help expedite timelines for both legacy and new systems. The position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline.
0–3 years of related experience or relevant academic/project experience in MBSE, software, and/or systems engineering.
Familiarity with SysML concepts and MBSE tools such as Magic Draw/Cameo, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, or DOORS; coursework or internship experience is acceptable.
Basic understanding of system architecture and interfaces, requirements engineering and traceability, and verification and validation concepts.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience developing and presenting briefings to Government customers.
Goal-oriented self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
U.S. citizenship and an active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and maintaining SysML/UML models covering major systems and subsystems, software, digital architecture, requirements, and specifications.
Help integrate models into system functional models.
Support system development activities, including requirements management, configuration management, data management, and risk management.
Assist in developing user guides, training, demonstrations, and other resources that promote the expansion of model-based systems engineering.
Participate in system requirements reviews and assist in creating or updating requirement specifications and qualification models.
