Sr Supply Chain Planner Position Summary In partnership with Sales and Operations the Sr Demand Planner leads the strategic and tactical execution of the SIOP (sales & internal usage, inventory, and operations planning) for the assigned product lines. Strategically balancing supply and demand to drive profitable growth and enable Evoqua to exceed customer and shareholder expectations. Interprets internal and external issues/challenges and recommends solutions/best practices. Takes the lead in resolving complex issues and troubleshoots problems with implications on cross-functional business processes and outcomes. Evaluates safety stocks to ensure optimal inventory levels. Releases production orders to maximize shop floor efficiency.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in a related discipline, or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and or experience.
  • 5+ years of successful Demand Planning/ Production Planning experience.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, or equivalent.
  • Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of planning.
  • Must be able to take initiative, think pro-actively and self-schedule.
  • Willingness to partner cross-functionally and work effectively with a team.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification(s) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively evaluate current sales and usage demand to set optimal safety stock levels
  • Monitor material / labor capacity to level-load production schedule and identify overbooked vs underbooked statuses
  • Make decisions on make-to-order vs make-to-stock to optimize sales, service, inventory turns, working capital, and warehouse and outbound freight efficiencies
  • Evaluate planned orders to set a production schedule
  • Work closely with purchasing to ensure raw materials deliver on time to support production schedule and working capital metrics
  • Plan and coordinate new product introductions, assess the impact, and support changes to overall production schedules.
  • Partner with engineering and manufacturing team to develop and maintain labor routers for production process.
  • Develop, interpret and communicate metrics to help drive improvements.
